John Lewis sells the Roomie Glide for PS160. Roanna thought this was a reasonable price for a cot. She also liked the way it appeared in the bedroom, and believed that the grey color will work well in modern homes. We love that it's constructed of soft materials that have mesh sides that breathe, which aids in airflow and ease of use. It's available in oak and charcoal and comes with a variety of melange fabric options that blend well with most decor styles. Anna found it sturdy and secure when affixed to her bed, with the legs securely clicking into the bed and the zips secured to ensure baby safety. It took her around 10 minutes to assemble and did not require tools, and comes with clear instructions and a video or support number available if you run into any issues.

With the addition of a sofa bed extension pack, it could transform into a crib. And while it won't feed your baby or magically sleep them it will rock them and send them off!

This is one of Chicco's more expensive options, however it comes with a lot of features. It can be used either a side-sleeper or a standalone crib that is suitable for infants ranging from birth to six months. It features a brand new mechanism for opening and closing the side panel. It's simple to use, even for one-handed operation. It's also more flexible than the predecessor, with 11 different height settings as well as legs that retract to fit underneath any bed.
Our testers loved the ease of access to the side panel that can be lowered and raised by pressing a button. This was a huge help in feedings at night, as it meant they could easily reach inside and pick up their baby without disturbing them.
The side panel can be lowered by itself, too however, it's not recommended since it increases the chance of your child falling out of the cot. However, the patented safety locking mechanism guarantees that it will only stay down when attached to the parent's bed correctly. This is a wonderful feature to have for peace of mind, particularly in the case of breastfeeding and frequent feedings at night.

It features a tilting feature for reflux babies, and an option to rock to soothe them to sleep after a feeding. It's also extremely large and offers excellent ventilation thanks to its mesh sides.
The Next2Me Magic was easy to use and set up for our testers, even with the lengthy instruction manual. It's heavier than some of the other side-sleepers but it's still fairly portable and can be moved from room room with ease. It can also be folded up into its travel bag, which is a great option for those who want to transport it. The only drawback our testers found was that the side panel did not flex like some of the other models, making it difficult to observe your child from your own bed.

The conversion kit for cots (sold separately) is also well-designed, with clear directions and everything you need to begin. It took us around an hour to construct and was fairly straightforward. The only issue was the absence of written captions on a few of the images which made it difficult to follow some of the steps. Overall, the process was easy and the materials used were of high quality.

During our testing we observed the gliding motion of this next to me crib to be extremely helpful when it comes to getting babies to sleep after feedings at midday and in the evening. The drop-down side can be easily accessible to feed or soothe babies in the middle of the night and was a major draw for our exhausted test mothers.
